Blip turns the Bluetooth signal of the thing you lost into a live proximity meter — and walks you to it.

Earbuds gone quiet between the cushions? A speaker left in another room? A tag on your keys somewhere in the house? Blip listens for the signal your device is broadcasting and shows how strong it is right now, updating as you move.

WALK IN ON THE SIGNAL

• One big, honest number from 0 to 100 that rises as you get closer
• Distance bands — on top of it, very close, close, in the area, far
• A trend chip that says whether you are getting warmer or colder
• Haptics that tick faster the closer you get, so you can search with the phone at your side
• A live radar and a 30-second history, so you can see the measurement, not just a verdict

WORKS WITH ANY BLUETOOTH DEVICE

Earbuds, headphones, watches, fitness bands, speakers, tags and trackers. No pairing, no account, nothing to set up. If it broadcasts, Blip measures it.

DETAILS THE DEVICE ITSELF PUBLISHES

• Battery level, for devices that report it over standard Bluetooth
• Manufacturer, model and firmware version
• "Make it beep" for devices that implement the standard Find Me alert — the fastest way to find a tag or a speaker

MY DEVICES

Save the things you actually lose. Blip pins them to the top of the list, remembers where they were last heard and shows that spot on a map, so you have somewhere to start even when a device has gone silent.

BUILT TO BE HONEST

Most apps in this category run a "hot and cold" game on a raw, jumping number. Blip filters every sample, smooths the stream and refuses to fake what radio cannot do:

• No direction arrows. Signal strength tells you how far away something is, never which way — a phone with one antenna cannot measure a bearing, so Blip never draws one.
• No invented precision. You get bands and a percentage, not a made-up "2.3 metres".
• When the signal drops, Blip says the signal is lost instead of freezing on the last value.
• A device that is switched off, out of battery or sealed inside a closed case does not broadcast at all — and no app, ours included, can find it. Blip tells you that before you start looking.

PRIVACY

Blip works entirely on your iPhone. Nothing about the devices around you leaves the phone, and last-seen locations are stored only on your device.

All product names, logos and brands are property of their respective owners. Use of these names does not imply affiliation or endorsement. Blip works with the standard Bluetooth Low Energy advertisements that these devices broadcast.
